High School & Adult Learn to Swim

This is for adults and high school students who want to learn how to swim or want to improve their skills. Our swim instructor will work with just you or with small group of other adults on what you want to work on.

Water Exercise Classes

Our water exercise programs are perfect for anyone looking for a low impact wrokout. Because we emphasize flexibility, relaxation and muscle strength, they are ideal for those with back injuries and joint weakness. Great for pregnant women too! (Get your doctor's okay first). You do not have to be a swimmer to participate. We use aqua jogger belts in the deep end, noodles, bar bells, kick boards, resistance bands and the water's resistance for a good workout. You do not need to sign up for any water exercise class if you are a member. If you are brand new to our water exercise classes, we would ask you fill out a health screening form, so we are better to serve you.

Arthritis Clinic

The Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program was co-delevoped at the YMCA of the USA in 1983 and is reviewed and revised as necessary every 3-5 years. Although the classes are held in the water, swimming ability is not necessary to participate in the program. The exercises include range of motion, muscle strengthening exercises, socialization activities and an optional moderate-intensity aerobic component.
