Special Things Happen Here

At the Tri-Community YMCA, we belive that the best way to ensure a healthy spirit, mind and body is to be involved in a variety of healthful activities. Our camps and other special events foster a sense of community and belonging. Our unique programs allow participants to learn more about each other — and themselves — in different and exciting ways.

Toddler Time for Two's

Ages 2 & 3. Let toddlers discover the joy of learing. Your little one will make new friends, sing songs, listen to stories, build and use the sensory table.

Wiggle, Giggle and Sing

Ages 18-36 mo. Children and parents will enjoy a half hour of fun filled music and movement. children will master new skills and concepts which will include communication, imitation and following directions.

Shape My World with Color

Ages 2 & 3. Explore, experience and create through a variety of basic art materials. Learn colors and shapes at your own pace. A new shape and color will be focused on each week.

Story Stretchers

Ages 4 & 5. Come and share a book with me. We'll read it together and you will see how we can stretch the story through art. We'll have lots of fun from the start.

ALPHABETivities.

Ages 4-5. This class will provide reinforcement of pre-reading skills such as letter identification and phonological awareness through songs, game, stories and art. Get ready for alphabet bing, letter puppets and alphabet twister.

Princess Dance I

A fabulous first dance class for preschoolers. Using the magic of princesses and fairies, this ballet based class develops coordination, strength, self control, creativity and muscularlity. We dance, sing and use our imagination as we explore the many ways to move our bodies. Dress code: Leotard, tights, ballet slippers, hair pulled back off the face. Skirt/tutu optional. Must be at least 3 years to participate.

Princess Dance Level II

A continuation of the concepts introduced in Princess Dance I, this dance class explores more complex movements in a creative and fun atmosphere. Along with ballet steps, we focus on coordination, balance, use of space, rhythm and memory to continue our journey through favorite stories. Dress code: Leotard, tights,ballet slippers, hair pulled back off of the face. Skirt/tutu optional. Minimum age:4

Mini Movers

In this class the children will participate in various activities that start teaching healthy exercise habits in a fun and safe environment. Activities will include parachute games, soccer, tag games, and animal movements.

P.H.E.A.T.

Ages 4 & 5. All children want to take after their parents. Now they can by taking our preschool H.E.A.T. class. Children will develop locomotion skiss, coordination, rhythm and listening skills by using athletic drills and age appropriate exercises.

Gooey Gourmets

Ages 4 & 5. Food always tastes better when you make it yourself. We will measure, mix and munch our creations. We will complete a cookbook with your favorite recipes to share with your families and friends.

Creating Constructions

Ages 4 & 5. Do you enjoy building things with legos, blocks, cubes and other building toys? In this class we will work with our hands to create new and interesting structures. We will also learn how to be safe while using these tools.

Investigation Station

Ages 4 & 5. What's that noise? what does that feel like? What happens when I do this? Come let your inquistive child get all their question (or most of them) answered during our Investigation Station time. We will discover through science activities.

Mini Munchers

Ages 2 - 5. Bring a bag lunch and we will learn about eating healthy, manners, and other benefits of having a healthy body. We will discover together how making good choices about food and how exercise keeps our bodies healthy. we will be using different concepts each week. Dress comfortably.

Nemo's Playground

Open swim time for parents with children 5 and under. This is a special time for preschoolers to have fun in the pool with their parents/guardian. No need to worry about being swamped by older children. Children must be accompanied by and adult with in the pool at all times.

Child Watch

Welcome to our Child Watch services. We are open for your convenience. Monday through Saturday mornings. Hours M-F 8:30am - 12:30pm; Saturdays are 7:45am - 12:00pm. Our evening hours are Monday-Thursday 4:30 - 8:00pm. You must purchase a punch card at the front desk in increments of either $5.00 or $10.00. We keep our prices low at $1.50/hr/child, making it possible for you to enjoy our beautiful fitness center facility. There is a 2 hour limit for use of our services. Children ages 3 months - 10 years are welcome. There is no charge for YMCA Family Memberships.
